He has long golden blonde hair, usually in a ponytail with short bangs free around his face and one long lock of hair right above the middle of his face. He also has a cross attached to the bottom of his ponytail at times. He also usually has his wings out, but not always. He prefers to wear white clothes, usually something ornate. His favorite is a white duster type coat with a cross at the front of the collar. He also wears white boots and gloves.
Personality: He is a homicidal maniac. A polite one. Krad has absolutely no problem with killing people for no reason at all. He even hurts those he claims to be his 'everything.'
Krad is very formal. In his speaking and gestures, he is very prim in proper. Even while choking someone to death, he has a sort of elegance. Though he is quite psychotic. When he wants to kill someone, he'll do whatever it takes to do it. He is a sadist and reckless. Even though his host's body cannot take it, he uses his magic without holding back.
He is also clever and cunning. He knows how to act like he cares after having to practice to fool his hosts into letting him out. He is also very much capable of long-term plans and sneaking around if he needs too.
His personality has basically been as such for centuries. He acts nice until he gets what he wants from you and kills you too. He does not care for anyone, but himself no matter what he tells the host. The only care he has for the most is that he seems them as his possession.
To be put in a place he can't be as violent as he wants to be, there is no telling how he will react.
Abilities/Strengths: Krad is a being of magic. As a result, he can use magic and he has a lot of it. He can grow wings, use his feathers to become deadly blasts and use them for various other things. He can even alter his clothing. The only limit to his magical ability is what his body can handle before it literally is unable to do anything at all. Seals, bindings, blasts of energy, seal breaking, illusions, and just a lot of destruction. He can fly. His body capabilities beyond flying aren’t inhuman, but it is that of a strong human.
Though he isn't as good as Dark, Krad does have some natural skills to act as a thief. Lock picking, disguises, and such, but because he doesn't put them into practice, they aren't very well tuned. He is very good at fighting, with or without weapons or magic. He is particularly fond of swords.
Weapons: His feathers. They are mediums to increase accuracy and control of his magic, especially the more destructive kind.
He is also able to use other weapons such as swords, bows and arrows, flails, and so forth. Modern weapons like guns are not in his experience though.
Weaknesses: Dark Mousy. Since he is his other half, Dark is equal on ability and magic.
With his own body, he will be forced to be more careful with his magic. Depending on what type of body he has, he will feel the pain if he uses magic beyond what the body can handle. He is also not used to pain since sharing a body with his host meant his body had more magic in his form and he could choose to keep it away. With his own body though, he will feel it and he will hate it and will want to get away from it.
He also does not know how to interact with people beyond cold manners and manipulation. If he has no goal in mind or aim to hurt them, he’d rather just not interact with the person at all. He does not trust other people and he does not want too.
History:
Krad is one half of a spirit of an art piece that goes by the name Black Wings or Kokuyoku. His other half is Dark Mousy and he wishes to KILL his other half. The question is why.
(OOC: Since I am using manga canon and it seems they are going with something different for what Black Wings is, this is partly made up.)
Over 300 years ago, there was a family by the name of Hikari. The Hikari was a famous family of artist. Their art was believed to actually have a soul in them. The stronger the feeling, the stronger the spirit.
However, there was another family, the name unknown, but still famous. A family of thieves who loved to target the artwork of the Hikari. This family was the Niwas. The youngest of the Niwas, a boy of fourteen, set forth to set a record and steal the Black Wings right when it was completed when he heard of it.
The artist for this particular piece was the first to give life to art and this would be his last piece. He desired to make a piece for a girl he loved deeply and painted this picture with all his heart. He spent years on it, painting it like it was the last piece of art in the world. It was unfortunate that during the ceremony of life, something happened.
The Niwa boy saw it was completed, and aimed to steal it right away, moved to steal it then. Not to mention it would have been fun to rub it into the artist's face that he stole it right in front of him.
Instead, he interrupted the ceremony and the spirit that was forming during the ceremony for the piece went into the two bodies there instead of the art piece. Half into the Niwa, and half into the Hikari. To how the Niwas first acted with their half before embracing it, Krad does not know, but that is not his story.
Krad awoke in the boy not immediately, but in a hospital. The boy had gotten a nasty hit on the head during the backlash of the ceremony. He wasn't truly aware of where he was or why he felt...fractured. All he was aware of was a cross that boy held. The Doctors said he hadn't let go of it since his arrival to the boy’s parents.
Krad stayed silent, just hiding away, trying to figure out what had happened to him. Why he seemed to be in his creator instead of his artwork. Why he seemed to have two white wings instead of one black and one white. Why his whole body seemed to be the light side put together. He didn't know why and he didn't understand.
Then the boy left the hospital and met her. The girl who he painted Black Wings for to 'steal her heart.' She rejected him and then Krad felt the energy shoot through him.
That was the first time he changed into his form using the Hikari's form. At first both were confused and fearful. They were just lucky to have had the boy run away into an alleyway before the change because of the pain. Eventually, the boy understood what had happened. The boy knew of the spirits in the art works like the other Hikari and he eventually understood that Krad somehow latched unto him during the sealing. The boy was elated to be fused with one of his works.
The other Hikari were not. They had tried sealing him back into Black Wings but found they could not. They never figured out why until a year later when Phantom Thief Dark first appeared. Krad knew his other half as soon as he saw him and said as such. And so started the feud. The Hikari wanted to capture Dark so they could seal the powerful artwork before it could do damage or drive them insane like other pieces had done in the past.
The boy found himself isolated among his family because of Krad, but still showed him caring. After all, Krad was the spirit formed by his love. He also formed a deep resentment to the Niwas for stealing part of that spirit. However, the boy did eventually find love and Krad vanished.
When he appeared in the son, he was happy. Krad quickly found out he was in his creator’s son and was out of dark abyss, even if it was peaceful. He was deeply distressed when he heard his creator had died. Unfortunately, the son, nor the mother, nor the rest of the family was so happy to hear Krad was back. They eventually found a way to seal him from awakening in the boys he appeared. It usually took a few months before they could do it for each boy he appeared in, but they always did.
This sealing was different. Instead of the dark abyss between each host, it was chains that bound him up. After each time this happened, Krad started to feel the anger build in him. He didn't want this. He didn't deserve it. So he decided to take his host. This was his body! It was his existence! The Hikari family had no right to give him existence and then take it!
Krad became possessive of his host and always tried to take complete control of them before they could seal him and showed himself as the real threat they feared. He didn't care about the host's safety anymore. He used his magic with reckless abound and did whatever it took to take control of the body.
His also developed his resentment from the thief family to a hatred for Dark. He had such freedom while he did not. He also knew the Hikari wanted him to seal them up again if they caught him. So he decided to kill Dark before that. He couldn't be sealed with only half of the spirit. Eventually, the hate and anger grew to form the Krad of today. The backstabbing, conniving, homicidal maniac with pure white wings. The one that cared for nothing, but his own existence and that of his host till he could take over.
After two generations of no Hikari boys, he awakened to see someone not of the blood. Someone who offered him freedom. Someone who offered him the body of his host. Kei Hiwatari told him to dispose of Dark, to do his bidding, and he would give Krad the existence he so desired.
Krad took it. Of course, he had no intention of keeping his word with Kei Hiwatari when he finally took over the boy's body, but until then, he'll play along and make repeated attempts to torture and kill Dark and Daisuke and provide Kei with information on what art pieces could do and how dangerous they were. Just until he finally had his body.
Then there was no need for any of them.
